Home Building Surveys is an independent building survey practice, headed by Malcolm Howorth MCIOB AssocRICS. Malcolm is a Building Surveyor and Architectural Designer, with a career spent in the property and construction industries of Dorset and surrounding counties.

A wide range of experience means Malcolm’s expertise stretches to Architectural and Product design, Project Management, Budgeting, Contract Administration and Planning, in addition to his core competency of Building Surveying.

Roles before HBS Building Surveyors included Construction Director at an influential local firm, Technical Liaison for Defence Estates and General Manager of a Design and Build group working up to the M4 corridor and head of Right Surveyors Dorset and West Hants Ltd - a residential and commercial property practice operating across the South of England.

Malcolm also hold two UK Patents for a Modern Method of Construction system that has been used extensively in the UK and of note along the Sandbanks peninsula, Canford Cliffs and Lilliput. 

The practice provides a range of homebuyer reports and surveys including vendor survey reports, new build snagging surveys, single fault analysis, RICs level 1 condition reports, RICs level 2 home buyer reports and RICs level 3 building surveys.
